Anti-Fraud Statement
1. Our Commitment to Fraud Prevention
At FinTEM, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards fraudulent activities, including credit card fraud, identity theft, and money laundering. As an orchestration platform, we act as the first line of technical defense, providing Merchants with the tools to identify and mitigate risks before they impact the financial ecosystem.
2. Multi-Layered Fraud Detection Engine
Our platform is equipped with advanced technical filters designed to monitor transactional metadata in real-time. Our anti-fraud framework includes:
- 2.1. Velocity Checking: We monitor the frequency of transactions from specific IP addresses or card BINs to prevent “Carding” attacks and brute-force authorization attempts.
- 2.2. Geo-Location Validation: We analyze the discrepancy between the user’s IP location and the card-issuing country to flag high-risk cross-border anomalies.
- 2.3. Device Fingerprinting: Our system identifies unique device signatures to detect if multiple accounts or fraudulent transactions are originating from a single suspicious source.
- 2.4. Blacklist Management: Merchants can leverage global and custom blacklists (emails, IPs, and countries) to block known malicious actors before a payment request is even sent to the PSP.
3. Collaboration with Financial Partners
FinTEM operates in close technical synchronization with licensed Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and Banks (e.g., SolidPayment, FIB).
- 3.1. External Scrubbing: While we provide initial technical filtering, every transaction is also subjected to the sophisticated fraud scrubbing engines of our upstream licensed partners.
- 3.2. Data Sharing: In the event of confirmed fraudulent activity, we cooperate with our financial partners to provide the necessary technical logs to assist in investigation and mitigation.
4. Merchant Responsibilities
Under this statement, the Merchant is required to:
- 4.1. Secure Integration: Ensure that their CRM or website is protected against unauthorized access and SQL injections.
- 4.2. Monitoring: Regularly review their FinTEM dashboard for unusual spikes in failed transactions or chargeback alerts.
- 4.3. Reporting: Immediately report any suspected breach of their API credentials or suspicious patterns to the FinTEM Security Team.
5. Action Against Fraudulent Merchants
FinTEM reserves the right to terminate technical services for any Merchant found to be intentionally facilitating fraudulent transactions or failing to implement basic security measures. We actively report confirmed fraudulent entities to international monitoring agencies and law enforcement (e.g., MASAK, FinCEN).
6. Disclaimer
While FinTEM’s tools significantly reduce the risk of fraud, no system can guarantee 100% prevention. The final liability for transaction disputes and chargebacks remains a matter between the Merchant and their respective licensed Financial Partner.
